IRC welcomes new BSP EFTPOS machine for Kundiawa tax office
THE Internal Revenue Commission (IRC) has announced the successful installation of a new BSP EFTPOS machine at the Kundiawa tax office in Chimbu, further strengthening taxpayer services and improving payment accessibility for businesses and individuals in the province.Acting Commissioner General Sam Loi commended the strong collaboration between the IRC Finance and Administration Team, Bank South Pacific (BSP), and the Chimbu Provincial Tax Office in delivering the new payment facility for taxpayers.
“This achievement reflects the commitment and teamwork demonstrated by our Finance and Administration Team, BSP, and our officers in Chimbu. Their collective efforts have ensured that taxpayers in Kundiawa now have access to a modern and convenient payment solution that will improve the efficiency of tax transactions,” said Acting Commissioner General Sam Loi.The new BSP EFTPOS machine was secured following ongoing engagement between the Kundiawa Tax Office and BSP representatives. Within a short period after discussions with BSP Officer Justin, the machine was delivered and installed, ready to serve taxpayers in Chimbu.Mr Loi highlighted the importance of accessible and reliable payment channels in supporting voluntary tax compliance and enhancing taxpayer convenience.“The IRC remains committed to improving service delivery across all provinces.
The installation of this EFTPOS machine means taxpayers in Chimbu can now make their tax payments conveniently and securely at the Kundiawa Tax Office. This is an important step in making tax compliance easier while ensuring a better experience for our taxpayers,” he said.Mr Loi further acknowledged the dedication of the Chimbu Provincial Tax Office for proactively pursuing the acquisition of the EFTPOS machine and BSP for its prompt response and support.The new facility will provide taxpayers with a fast, secure, and efficient method of making tax payments directly at the tax office, reducing inconvenience and supporting the IRC’s broader digital transformation and revenue administration objectives.“Our taxpayers are valued partners in nation-building.
