KTI school clean township.
KWIKILA Training Institute students took out initiative to conduct two weeks cleanathon of township started this week.
A total of 109 first year students are engaged in this program as part of their practical lesson to implement lessons they learn in classrooms as students promote healthy living standards in communities they live in.
Dean of Kwikila Training Institute academic Mr Gabia Buro, says the school trains community health workers for future and are front line health workers in any clinic or hospital in Central Province and have to live up to what they learn in classroom. However, this is not the first time for the school to engage in such practical health programs. The school is setting the standards in terms of health and hygiene in communities. A healthy community is healthy population that will make healthy and sound decisions in life. He said health should be everyone's responsibility.
This is also an eye opener for general public and town authorities to engage such instute in such programs and district authorities to support financially.
