Lae Snax Tigers Fight Back to Defeat Central Dabaris

The Lae Snax Tigers produced a determined second-half comeback to defeat the Central Dabaris in an exciting Digicel ExxonMobil Cup encounter at Sir John Guise Stadium on Sunday, 24 May 2026.

The Dabaris looked in control during the opening half after impressive tries from Tegena Apa, Nathan Kora, Junior Hoki and Tau Vagi gave them the halftime advantage.

However, the Tigers returned strongly after the break with winger Simon Lau crossing twice to spark the comeback. Fullback Johnson Chan added another try, while Joshua Pene sealed the victory with a crucial second-half effort. The Tigers also collected two points from a penalty conversion.

Joshua Lau’s leadership and experience proved vital as the Tigers lifted their intensity in the second half to turn the match around and secure an important win in front of fans at Sir John Guise Stadium.
