NSL strengthens employer partnerships to improve member outcomes

NAMBAWAN Super Limited (NSL) last month participated in the 2026 Ascender Pay User- Group Annual Conference, at the Crown Hotel in Port Moresby, reaffirming its commitment to working closely with employers to improve services and retirement outcomes for members of the fund.

The conference brought together more than 150 human resource and payroll professionals from across the country, including representatives from over 100 State entities using the Government payroll system.

At the conference representatives from the NSL employer and stakeholder relations team introduced the Nambawan Employer Pay (NEP) portal; a digital platform that enables automation of members’ contributions to be processed, replacing the current manual processes.

One of the key messages delivered by NSL during the conference was the importance of maintaining accurate member biodata. Keeping biodata up to date is one of the most important actions members can take. When members update their biodata this allows NSL to serve members more effectively, communicate important updates, and ensure benefits can be processed efficiently when they are needed.

NSL chief executive officer, Mr. Lachlan Baird acknowledged the organisers of the conference for recognising NSL as a key stakeholder and inviting NSL to participate.

"As Papua New Guinea's largest, longest-serving and most trusted superannuation fund, we recognise that maintaining close and consistent partnership with employers is essential to delivering better outcomes for our Members," Mr. Baird said.

"Our members' best interests remain at the heart of everything we do. By working collaboratively with employers and payroll administrators, we can ensure contributions are processed accurately and on time, members’ information is kept current, and our members can transition comfortably into retirement."

Mr. Baird said the business and employment landscape continues to evolve rapidly, requiring organisations to embrace innovation and modern systems to meet changing expectations.
