Prime Minister James Marape has retained responsibility for the National Volunteer Services and Disaster, as well as the Sports and Correctional Services portfolios.
In a major reshuffle announced yesterday, Prime Minister Marape said the Government is repositioning central agencies to concentrate on strategy, policy, economic management, and oversight, rather than being burdened by administrative processes.
The changes also saw six new Members of Parliament sworn in as Ministers, alongside a broader reshuffle within Cabinet.
The National Volunteer Services and Disaster portfolio was removed from Dr Billy Joseph who was appointed as Minister for Health while Correctional Services portfolio was removed from Member for Anglimp- South Waghi, Joe Kuli due to prolong illness.
