Rigo Central LLG swears in committee members

MEMBERS of Rigo Central Local Level Government ward development committee were sworn in during a brief ceremony at Gateway Hotel in Port Moresby yesterday.

The event marked a significant milestone, bringing together community members, officials, and stakeholders united under the theme of progress and strength for Rigo Central.

Congratulations were extended to all the appointees, emphasising a shared commitment under the slogan: Together for Progress, United for a Stronger Rigo Central. 

A special message of pride was conveyed to Mrs Ruth Buro Aisi, who was appointed as one of the two women representatives in the committee.

Mrs Aisi’s siblings expressed that their parents were proud of her hard work and dedication.

The siblings also thanked Rigo Central LLG president Mrs Philo Gobana for recognising and nurturing the potential in Mrs Aisi. Additionally, gratitude was also extended to Mrs Aisi’s husband Tau Aisi for his unwavering support and for standing by the side of the appointee during this important time.

The proceedings were witnessed by prominent figures including Central Governor Rufina Peter; Central Province Legal Officer Kila Maino; Rigo District Magistrate, Mrs. Nancy Lipai; Acting Legal Officer, Mr. Guma Tau; Rigo Central Manager, Mr. Sibona Badira; and Rigo District Clerk, Mr. Desmond Baure.

The event was a celebration of community achievement and leadership, laying a foundation for renewed efforts toward development and unity within Rigo Central.
