Rigo Central roll update agents undergo training.

Ward enrollment agents in Rigo Central Local Level Government were told to do an accurate update of 2027 election roll.

Central Elections Manager, Vetari Iamo and assistance provincial for manager for Central Province, Mr Lister Gabi, issued the challenge today in Kwikila during the one day training.

Doing the presentation at the training the two election bosses in the province highlighted the importance of the roll agents roles and responsibilities during the common roll update and actual polling in future elections.

The training of roll update was facilitated by Papua New Guinea Electoral Commission.

"This is an important work you have been engaged in. The results will reveal during actual polling days," stressed Gabi.

He urged the ward enrollment agents to work alongside their respective ward members to deliver accurate common roll update.

Election officials also reminded the roll agents on the importance of the form 11, that determines the number of people recorded in certain wards and communities.

The training clearly outlined objectives of the enrollment training, understanding the process and process of enrollment roles, and responsibilities of roll agents, code and conducts and purpose of enrollment exercise.

A total of 89 participants took part in 30 Rigo Central wards in Rigo District.
